I was thinking about something earlier today...

The  time  I was working as a computer programmer at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, in the Washington, D.C. area. ( National Weather Services section ) 

And I remember that time very fondly.

I had been in the United States for about four years. As an immigrant, landing a job like that felt HUGE! It meant stability. It meant legitimacy. It meant I had made it—at least in the way I perceived it at the time.

What I can say honestly is this: I enjoyed the work while I was doing it.
But it wasn’t my deepest passion.

And today, I can see how that  distinction matters.

Why I Chose the “Smart” Path First

When I moved to the U.S. at 22 and started college, my choices weren’t romantic. They were practical.

Like many immigrants, I had one question quietly running in the background:
What will allow me to stay here?

In the late ’90s—around 1997—IT was booming. Companies were sponsoring visas. Opportunities were abundant. And so I chose Computer Information Systems, not because it lit my soul on fire, but because it made sense.

It was strategic.
It was intentional.
And it worked.

I got sponsored. I got my green card. I built a life.

Every step mattered.

Motherhood Changed the Question

Later, when I had my first child, everything shifted.

We made a family decision that one of us would stay home with the children—and that person ended up being me.

I loved being with my children.
I did not love not making money.

That tension—being deeply fulfilled in one area while feeling constrained in another—is what pushed me to ask a new question:

What can I do from home and still create income?

That question changed my life.

From Web Design to Energy (Before It Was Trendy)

That’s when I started my web design business.

And somewhere along the way, I discovered energy—not as a concept, but as a lived system. I started applying energetic principles inside my business.

What happened next genuinely shocked me.

I went from:

• Submitting proposal after proposal on Craigslist

• Competing in a sea of freelancers

• Chasing clients every month

To suddenly being on retainer with three international corporations.

Money became steady.
Predictable.
Overflowing.

I wasn’t chasing anymore.
I was receiving.

That’s when something clicked.

When Fulfillment Became Non-Negotiable

As much as my web design business grew, I noticed something else emerging.

I was becoming  more  and more passionate about the energy behind  the execution.

The energy behind the strategy...

Once you experience what aligned energy can do—not just spiritually, but practically—you can’t unsee it.

I knew this be  valuable to so many....

So I did something terrifying:

I combined my technical skills with my energetic work and decided to share it online.

I was afraid of judgment.
I was afraid my loved ones—especially my sibblings—would think I had lost my mind.

(For the record: one of my sisters is now in several of my programs.)

That leap changed everything.

The Most Fulfillment I’ve Ever Known

I can say this without hesitation:

I have never done anything in my life that fulfilled me the way this work does.

If I hadn’t made that choice, I’d probably still be a programmer somewhere today. And there is nothing wrong with that.

But I’d almost certainly be making less in a year than I now make in a month.

More importantly—I wouldn’t feel this alive.

Yes, You Can Do Meaningful Work and Make Money

This is the message my heart aches to share....

It is possible to do work that fulfills you deeply
and make a significant amount of money doing it.

Both get to coexist.

I honor every step of my journey. None of it was a mistake. Every phase gave me exactly what I needed to choose differently later.

That’s how growth works.

The Choice I Keep Making

I live my life for spiritual growth.

That is my priority.

My business serves that.
My relationships serve that.
My challenges serve that.

Business, especially, has been one of my greatest mirrors—constantly reflecting back where I need to grow, refine, or take responsibility.

I know  this to be true, without a shadow of a doubt: 

The quality of your life is a direct reflection of the quality of your energy.

How we direct our energy determines everything—our income, our impact, our peace, our growth.

This doesn’t mean life becomes easy.
It means it becomes honest.

I recently heard Tony Robbins say something that resonated deeply:
True success isn’t about comfort or significance—it’s about growth, contribution, and learning.

That felt profoundly true to me.
